How can I become a member?
Quick Glance
- Present yourself for membership during any Worship Service when the invitation is given at the end of the message.
- Express your desire for membership through one of the following means:
Profession of Faith
If you have never received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we invite you to do so. This is the most important decision in life. Indicate during the invitation your desire to receive Christ; the pastor will be available to share and pray with you.
Transfer of Letter
If you are a member in good standing of another Southern Baptist Church, you may request a transfer of your membership letter by indicating such during the invitation.
Statement of Faith
If you have received Jesus Christ as Savior and are a member of a non-Southern Baptist Church, you may request membership by statement of faith.
- Attend the Foundations Class.
Participation in the Foundations Class is required of all new members. Here you will learn more about our church and basics of the Christian faith. This class will help you become a fulfilled, functioning member of our church.
- Follow the Lord in Believer’s Baptism.
It is necessary for each member to be baptized as a believer, by immersion, in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Baptism is an outward symbol of a true salvation that has taken place inwardly; it is the believer’s first step of obedience.
