Jason DeFoor - Pastor Jason DeFoor has served as Pastor of Poplar Springs since January of 2007. He holds a Master of Divinity degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and a B.A. in Biblical Studies from Luther Rice University. He grew up in Toccoa, GA, and graduated from Stephens County High School. Jason’s ministry experience includes serving as Associate Pastor and Interim Pastor at Broad River Baptist Church in Eastanollee, GA, and Activities Minister and Missions Pastor at Bay Leaf Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC. Jason and his wife, Valerie, have a baby girl, Anna Lorena.

 

Pam Emery - Ministry Assistant Pam Emery has been a member of Poplar Springs since 1994 and on staff as Ministry Assistant since 2002. She is married to Robert who serves as Manager of Tugaloo State Park in Lavonia. They have raised three boys – Joseph, a freshman at the University of Georgia in Athens, Steven, a junior at Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, and Chris who is employed at MainStreet Technologies in Baldiwn and will be married in December, 2007. In addition to her duties as Ministry Assistant, Pam is Awana Commander, Assistant Treasurer and serves on various committees. In her leisure time, Pam enjoys crafts, needlework and quilt making.
